The Cleveland Indians helps the USO “Tickets for Troops” Program by donating thousand of seats a year to Indians Baseball Games. During the 2012 season, the Cleveland Indians helped provide much-needed funds and the opportunity to raise awareness for the USO of Northern Ohio’s specific cause through the “Fill the House for Charity” program. The Indians donated $5 from each ticket sold by the USO back to the charity. Also, $1 from every overall ticket sold for the Tuesday June 19th game verses the Cincinnati Reds game was donated. “Fill the House for Charity” night at Progressive Field resulted in a check for $20,943 benefiting the USO of Northern Ohio.
Cleveland Cavaliers basketball organization helps the USO “Tickets for Troops” program by donating thousands of tickets for distribution to military personnel and their families so they can enjoy exciting NBA action at Quicken Loans Arena in Downtown Cleveland. The Cavs also help, through their sponsors, by having troops be their guests for fun, on court activities before, during, and after the game.
Cleveland Browns Support the USO “Tickets for Troops” program. Browns Players also visit the troops at the unit installations and invite them to training camp. Military personnel are invited to participate in pregame, on field activities and off season parties. Browns All-Pro lineman Joe Thomas created and funds the Thomas’ Troops program and supplies game tickets and other amenities to the USO so they can invite local Armed Forces members returning from deployment in Afghanistan, or those about to deploy.
Global Softball League supported the Annual Commander’s Cup softball tournament and provided the USO the ability to give local military units the chance to play on tournament ready softball fields with umpires, balls, and a picnic for not only them, but their families. Mr.Chicken Catering and Stancato’s Catering helped feed the visiting Marines during Marine Week 2012 in Cleveland, Ohio the visiting Devil Dogs were introduced to some fine Northern Ohio food which made them wish they were station on the north coast of America full time. Red Bull Energy Drink provided 100 cases of product to help during Marine Week 2012. BJ’s Wholesalers, and Distillata water provided over 200 cases of water to hydrate the Marines during Marine Week 2012.
Orlando Baking Company helped the USONO throughout the year by supplying their wonderful, northern Ohio made product for events like marine Week 2012, the Navy’s 1812 Commemoration Event, the Commander’s Cup Softball tournament, the USO Brad Davis Memorial Festival, and other festivals and events.

Sugardale Food Service donated hot dogs for Marine Week 2012 and definitely lifted the spirits of the troops with the perfect snack on those long summer days.
